今日は英検だ。

どうも。
英検を前にして非常に精神状態が不安定になり，
英検直前なのに，普段よりも勉強していない whitypig どえーっす。

細かい分析は置いておいて，英検だけでなく他のことを絡めて
色々考えていたので，それがプレッシャーになり，ぐだぐだに。

受験をやめようかとも思ったけど，ま，銭払っているんだから，
受験だけはしてきます。

今回色々わかったことがあったので，それは収穫。
というかライティングなめてた。
こりゃ継続しないと書けるようにはならんな。
ましてや，1日前にやろうというのが無理。

一応，2008年第1回試験の問題をやってみたので，アップしておきます。

お題は，
Agree or Disagree: the use of nuclear power should be expanded.
これで，202 words。(count-words-region 役に立ったお!!)
論理の展開に無理があるというか，まわりくどいというか，
サポートセンテンスが弱いというか，具体例が弱いというか。
弱点だらけだ!!(笑)
ええねん，ええねん。

Although some people think that the expansion of the use of nuclear
power leads to the development of nuclear weapons, I agree with the
idea that the use of nuclear power should be expanded. There are two
reasons: increasing demand for electricity and the problem of global
warming.

First, modern society has heavily depended on electronic devices such
as refragerators, electronic ranges, and air
conditioners. Furthermore, with the spread of personal computers among
the public, more and more electricity will be needed. Thus, we need to
use the nuclear power to produce more electricity effectively to meet
that demand.

Second, people are now more concerned about global warming. The global
warming is believed to be caused by greenhouse gases, most of which
are emitted by burning fossil fuels. Therefore, we must find an
alternative to fossil fuels, and I believe that is nuclear power.

Of course, some people fear that the expansion of the use of nuclear
power might lead to the development of nuclear weapons, especially in
developing countries. So, some measures have to be taken to restrict
the use of nuclear technology.

Because of these considerations, I agree with the idea that the use of
nuclear power should be expanded.
