最難関大への英作文第2章過去問7〜8

どうもいっす。

例のお手製アロマディフューザーで，相変わらず難儀しています。
おかしい。全然，ふたから顔を出している部分の竹ひごまでしみてこない。
我慢ならんので，さかさまにした。
出ている部分が，速攻で乾いた。orz。
つまり，どういうことだってばよ!?

うーん，オイルの供給量が蒸発量に比べて，すくないということだろうか。
それとも，エタノールとエッセンシャルオイルの分量の問題か?
無印のフレグランスオイルの場合は，問題なかった。
瓶の形状が問題か?
うーん，悩ましい。このままででは失敗になってしまう。

第2章過去問7

Many people are not good at getting up early and I'm one of them,
though I can easily stay up late. However, when I have to get up
early, the morning air is fresh and crisp. And when the day is over, I
feel I have done a lot of things and had a productive day. So, I make
my mind to get up early from the next day on, but at the next morning,
I find it really hard.

それでは突っ込んでいきましょう。

第1文。I'm one of them --> I'm one of them, too,
- too を入れてはっきりとさせておきましょ。
最後の文。たぶん文法的に間違い
- I find it really hard --> I find it is really hard. が正解。

ちなみに最後の文の，at the next morning の at はなくても大丈夫っぽい。
また，あっても大丈夫っぽい。

第2章過去問8

People travel for different reasons, and some people travel because
they have to, but most people travel either because they are tired of
where they are, or because they wish they were elsewhere. However, the
roots of these two reasons are the same because if you don't get tired
of where you are, you don't wish you were elsewhere.

and some people travel --> and of course, some people take a trip
- より譲歩っぽくするために。
- travel 使いすぎ。幼稚に見える。

最後の文に関しては，テキストにおいても，少々書かれているように，
問題文がわかりにくいという感があります。
ワタシ的に訳すと，

if you don't wish you were elsewhere, 
it means that you are satisfied with where you are.

となるかなと。
