demotion は，promotion の逆。
claimant は，claim する人。claimer とどう違うのかは謎のまま。
lumbar は，腰椎。
tack は，付加するとか。vt ね。
pricey は，expensive 。
expatriate は，海外居住者とか。patriot から派生してそう。
gum は歯茎で，braces は歯列矯正器。vt で突っ張りをするという意味があるから，
そっからかな。
dependent に扶養家族という意味があるのは，はじめて知ったっす。
