動機付けと，記憶強化のために，さらします。

3つほど。

  • 戦前に(in prewar days) 約600万円の費用をかけて(at a cost of)建設したこのホテルは，延べ(total floor space) 6,500坪(tsubo)あります。
  • 今日では航空機(airplanes)の発達(develop)によって，世界一周(go round the world)が2，3日で可能になりました。これは喜ぶべき(gratifying)事実（fact）です。
  • 京都，奈良，鎌倉といった歴史的な(historic)所(place)は，博物館的(like museum)存在です。しかし，私たちが秩序ある情報(well-organized information)を短時間で得られるだけの設備(facilities)をもった美術館(art museum)は，数えるほどしかありません。

    • 金がいくらかかった，という場合は，at the cost of ではなくて，at a cost of を使う。
    • この場合の広さの場合も，初出でだから，a だね。
  • Today, due to the development of airplanes, it's possible to go round the world in a few days. (ry
    • この場合，漠然とした発達ではなく，みなさんご存じの発達，かつ，基本的に uncountable だから，the development がいい?
    • go round world を使えとあるので，使いました。ま，go around the world でも，同じだと思う。たぶん。
  • Historic places such as Kyoto, Nara and Kamakura are like museums. However, there are few art museums which have facilities from which we can obtain well-organized information in a short time.
    • 正直，治っていない。第一文は，主語に合わせて，museums と複数形にする。後半は，本書の解答を参考に，get を obtain に。
